India 2018

February 2018

Hey Everyone,
Once again, thank you all for continuing in this vision with us. As you know, we just got back from our trip to India a couple weeks ago and we were blown away by what the Lord is continuing to do. We are making a far bigger impact then we thought in India. Last year, we trained around 50 leaders with identity in Christ and this year when we visited we trained 160. We’ve never seen discipleship like this! When we refer to “leader”, we mean someone who is a pastor or leader that has planted a house church, and some of these leaders have planted multiple house churches in Raipur and the surrounding areas. We spoke with one leader who is currently raising up 10 more who are in the process of planting a house church right now. House churches consist of 10-100 people. We spent all our time going to the different regions in the state of Chhattisgarh and equipping the leaders in each region. Their ministry has expanded to almost covering the state. The second day there we drove 4 hours one way to get to the north region and the third day we drove 5 hours to get to the south. They have a region to the west and then the city of Raipur. Sumeet has identified one key leader per region that will equip all of the pastors under him so that when we send curriculum, Sumeet will equip the regional leaders, who will then go back to their regions to equip the pastors that they oversee.

We saw a lot of grace on the gifts of words of knowledge and healing while we were there and we felt strongly that the Lord wanted to further equip them in words of knowledge. A word of knowledge is a piece of information that you could not have known about someone that the Lord reveals to you. We specifically focused on words of knowledge in relation to healing. Many pastors told us of the difference in their ministry since we were there last year. Currently in India, 8 out of 10 hindus are coming to Christ through a healing encounter. During our trip, we saw over 100 healings and many, many received words of knowledge for the first time and saw people healed as a result. There was one woman in particular who had never gotten a word of knowledge and when we asked for a volunteer, she was hungry to receive the gift from the Lord. We told her that we would pray for her and that she would either feel pain somewhere in her body, think of a word, or get a picture of something that needs to be healed in the room. After the pray, she said she experienced pain or sensation in her knee, back, and her hip. Many people in the room had one or more of the issues that she spoke out and when they came forward, she prayed for them and they received healing immediately. She was more than thrilled to operate in this gift with the Holy Spirit. There was a even a hindu woman who came to our meeting, got healed and gave her life to Jesus. This is what it looks like when we co-labor with the Holy Spirit in the gifts that Jesus died to give us. There is immediate, long-lasting fruit. We got to meet the woman who supernaturally received the ability to read and write from the Lord and hear more of her story as well. She was a very fundamental hindu woman who had chronic back pain for years and could not get help from any doctor that she visited. She ended up getting healed because her Christian neighbor who attends one of the churches in the ministry we partner with gave her a glass of water that she had prayed over and told her to drink it and believe on Jesus Christ for healing! She got healed and gave her life to Christ, heard you could ask the Lord for wisdom and did so because she couldn’t read or write. The Lord gave it to her and now she’s planted many house churches and she’s teaching and raising up other women in Bible studies. How amazing is that!?

We never set out to just see people healed. We set out to equip and empower with identity in Christ and the goodness of God and the result of that is healing and supernatural encounter. God loves to confirm His Word and He is always faithful. Healing is the easiest part of our job as Christians because we aren’t the ones doing it.

Headed to India

As we prepare to leave for India, we couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead. In the beginning of the year, we heard the Lord say to us that Raipur will be a city of revival! We are thrilled to announce the Raipur Initiative. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the building of an equipping center in the city that will raise up world changers in the kingdom. We are praying for the Lord to move mightily while we are there.

Since our trip last year, we have seen the number of house church leaders grow from 50 to 150 and the Lord is exponentially growing that number daily. The youth are on fire as they are seeing miracles and salvations. The people of India are coming into their identity in Christ and in turn transforming the world around them. There was a Hindu woman that attending one of their meetings who couldn’t read or write. She gave her life to Christ and the next day woke up with the ability to read and write. She now leads women’s Bible studies and is raising up other women to do the same. Incredible!

We’ve been waiting for a long time to get back to India to jump right into the momentum that has been created there. We are going with the intention of encouraging, edifying, and imparting what the Lord has in store for our people there. We’re expecting to see miracles and salvations and the Gospel go forth. All 150 of their leaders will gather together for 3 days of teaching and all of the youth will gather for a youth conference. We will also be going to a village nearby to share the Gospel. Please join us in prayer for the nation of India. Declare that Raipur will be a city of revival!

Nigeria 2017

Praise God and what He is doing in the world today. It’s easy to take our eyes off of Him and focus on all the negative circumstances, but if you focus on heaven, you’ll see a whole lot of good going on in the nations. Thank you so much for your continued support in prayer and finances. We say it a lot, but our fruit is ultimately your fruit because you are enabling us to GO and fulfill our assignment on the earth. Our trip to Nigeria was probably the most physically exhausting trip that we have taken so far, but the fruit from it was more than we expected. We are never completely sure of what the Lord wants to accomplish until we set foot in a community. Then we can partner with what God is saying and doing in the area and press into what we can add to the equation, which is always identity in Christ. It was made abundantly clear to us, that in Nigeria, the Lord wants to unify His body. There seemed to be a church on every block but unfortunately, the occasion is rare that they’ll ever meet. “Anointed men of God” seem to be everywhere on billboards promising people a change of life and different circumstances but the fruit is rarely seen. Miracles are not new to their culture. In fact, miracles were the only thing that they could talk about. We preached every day from 9am-2pm at a conference for church leaders and their congregations so there were about 200-300 people everyday packed into a newly built Bible school that we utilized, and every evening we would split up. Matt, Suraj, and I would go to different churches and preach to their congregations. I can confidently say that the only topics we preached on were intimacy with God and identity in Christ, yet we saw the Holy Spirit do things straight out of the book of Acts. We trained people up in the simplicity of the Gospel and what a relationship with Jesus looks like when it’s lived out and we watched as people prayed for each other for healing and breakthrough in different areas of their lives. We saw 5 blind women healed, a deaf boy healed, hundreds of other healings, demons cast out, and people give their lives to Jesus. 90% of all of those things happened when we called up children to pray for people. There’s something to say about childlike faith. Jesus himself said that the kingdom belonged to kids. Now we know why. We got an opportunity to meet the High Chief of the state that we were in as well and got to minister to him. He welcomed us with open arms and blessed our future trips to his country. As we were heading to the airport to fly home, Pastor Samuel, our contact and friend, told us that he hasn’t seen a move of God like that in a very long time and he’s been around the world. Multiple pastors and church leaders got up at the end of the conference and we’re blown away by the simple Gospel that we preached and how the kids would lay hands on the sick and see them healed. It really is that simple. Jesus paid for it, we live it out. We laid the groundwork for the future and next year we will be able to utilize one of their football stadiums for a prayer conference to unify the body of Christ and for a crusade to save the lost.
